Max Payne 3 System Requirements

Max Payne 3 is an upcoming third-person shooter scheduled for release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms on March 2012, and players have been wondering what the Max Payne 3 System Requirements will be.

The game’s development is being lead by Rockstar Vancouver in collaboration with the New England, London and Toronto studios and takes place eight years after the events of Max Payne 2 and focuses on the protagonist; an older, more weary Max Payne who has retired from law enforcement and has left the cruel streets of NYC to pursue a better opportunity in Sao Paulo, Brazil. There, Max is employed by a private security firm to protect a rich family in the country. But Max quickly finds out that his new opportunity will thrust him back into the cruel world he was so desperately trying to escape, as he is double-crossed and must find a way out.

Max Payne 3 is a third-person shooter in which the player assumes the role of its protagonist, Max Payne. The game will retain its classic run-and-gun shooting as well as its shoot-dodge mechanic, which allows Max to roll and jump around to avoid bullets. Another returning essential mechanic is Bullet-time, which slows down time to allow Max better reaction and aiming in tense firefights. However, the game will include new mechanics such as an over-the-shoulder zoom aim and cover mechanics.

There will also be a “Last Man Standing” mechanic, which gives Max one chance to avoid death as long as he has one painkiller on hand. If the player is able to kill the enemy that delivered the wounding shot with bullets he’ll recover enough health to move on.

Another new mechanic included is the ability for Max to stay prone after a dive to execute 360 degrees turn while shooting. There are also interactive cut-scenes.

Besides the single-player experience, Max Payne 3 will have for the first time in the series multiplayer that takes on a story-driven approach whereas certain tasks are connected to dramatic events that change the experience of the multiplayer . The multiplayer will also have a perk system, reward and leveling system and loadouts.

Rockstar has also combined physics and animation, so that Max can move appropriately according to his environment, giving a sense of realism to the gameplay.

Max Payne 3 was originally scheduled for release in late 2009. But, it was pushed back to 2010 so that the developers could have more time to finish the game. In June 2010, the game was again pushed back to 2011. On December 21, it was pushed back again.
